CHAP. 358.—An ACT to advance money to the treasurer of Floyd
county for use of public schools.
Approved February 25, 1892.
Whereas J. C. Barnard, treasurer of Floyd county, has
paid into the treasury all of the taxes of eighteen hun-
dred and ninety-one collected by him up to December
eighteen hundred and ninety-one, and will be unable tc
make further collections of said taxes to any considerable
amount for some months, and consequently has not now
nor will have for some time in his hands money with
which to pay the teachers of the public schools; there.
ore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia,
That the auditor of public accounts be, and he is hereby,
authorized and directed to draw his warrant on the
treasury in favor of J. C. Barnard, treasurer of Floyd
county, for seventeen hundred dollars, as an advance to
the public schools, to be used by said treasurer in payment
of the teachers of the public schools of Floyd county, and
to be repaid into the treasury by the said J. C. Barnard so
soon as he collects a sufficient amount of the taxes of. eigh-
teen hundred and ninety-one to enable him to do so.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
