CHAP. 345.—An ACT for the relief of John C. Hall, treasurer of
Franklin county.
Approved February 25, 1892.
Whereas John C. Hall, treasurer of Franklin county,
caused a copy of the list of delinquent real estate in the
county of Franklin, for the years eighteen hundred and
eighty-nine and eighteen hundred and ninety, to be in-
serted in the Franklin Times (a newspaper published in
said county, pursuant to section six hundred and thirty-
seven of the code of Virginia); and whereas the state’s
part of the cost of this insertion amounted to twenty-one
dollars for the year eighteen hundred and eighty-nine,
and twenty-one dollars for the year eighteen hundred and
ninety: and whereas the auditor has paid to the said
treasurer, on behalf of the state, on account of the cost
of said printing, the sum of five dollars for eighteen hun-
dred and eighty-nine, and the sum of five dollars for eigh-
teen hundred and ninety, and declines to pay the balance
of said cost on the ground that there is no authority in
law for him todoso; and whereas this leaves a sum of thirty-
two dollars which the said treasurer had to pay before he
could get the publication of the said list in the said news-
paper; therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia,
That the auditor of public accounts be, and he is hereby,
directed to issue his warrant in favor of John C. Hall, of
Franklin county, for the sum of thirty-two dollars.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
