CHAP. 341.—An ACT to authorize the board of supervisors of
Gloucester county to borrow money and purchase real estate at
Gloucester Point.
Approved February 20, 1892.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia,
That the board of supervisors of Gloucester county be, and
the said board is hereby, authorized and empowered to
purchase the real estate at Gloucester Point, belonging to
the estate of George Hughes, deceased, at a sum not to ex-
cetd six thousand dollars.
2. If the said board of supervisors shall purchase the
said real estate, it shall be held by the said board of su-
pervisors for the use and benefit of all the people of the
said county.
3. If the said board of supervisors shall purchase the
said real estate, the said board shall dedicate, set apart.
and appropriate the proceeds of the wharf and of the
other property of the said county at Gloucester Point, afte:

tate so purchased as aforesaid.
4. And the said board of supervisors is also hereby au-
thorized and empowered to borrow money to pay the said
purchase money, and issue the bond or bonds of the
said county therefor (but for no other purpose): provided
the said board of supervisors shall dedicate, set apart, and
appropriate the proceeds from the said wharf and othe
property of the said county at Gloucester Point, after pay.

bond or bonds.
5. But the said board of supervisors shall not use any
moneys of the said county either to pay the said purchase
money for the said real estate, or to pay off the said bond or
bonds, other than that the proceeds which have or may here-
after arise from the said wharf and other property of the
said county at Gloucester Point; nor shall the said board
of supervisors make any levy either to pay the said pur-
chase money or to pay off the said bond or bonds.
6. This act shall be in force from its passage.
