CHAP. 33.—An ACT to authorize the Old Dominion land com-
pany to guarantee the bonds and to subscribe to, purchase, or
otherwise acquire the stock of any joint stock company located
or doing business at or near Newport News, in the county of
Warwick, state of Virginia, and confirming the guarantee of
the bonds and the subscription to or Purchase of the stock
of any such joint stock company heretofore made by it.
Approved January 9, 1892.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia,
That it may and shall be lawful for the Old Dominion
land company, a corporation duly chartered by order of
the circuit court of the city of Richmond, entered on the
nineteenth day of October, in the year eighteen hundred
and eighty, and duly recorded as provided by law, to
guarantee the bonds, and to subscribe to, purchase, or
otherwise acquire the stock of any joint stock company
located or doing business now, or at any time hereafter, at
or near Newport News, in the county of Warwick, state of
Virginia.
2. That any guarantee of the bonds or subscription to
or purchase of the stock of any such joint stock company
heretofore made by the said Old Dominion land company
before the passage of this act, be, and the same is hereby,
confirmed and legalized.
3. That this act shall be in force from and after its
passage. |
