CHAP. 27.—An ACT to appropriate the sum of eight thousand
one hundred and sixty-three dollars and forty-four cents to pay
ier we indebtedness of the Southwestern lunatic asylum of
rginia.
Approved December 22, 1891.
Whereas it appears from the reports of the directors of
the Southwestern lunatic asylum, that for several years past
the annual appropriation has not been sufficient to main-
tain said asylum, in consequence of which this asylum
has been left in debt year by year, until that indebted-
ness now amounts to the sum of eight thousand one hun-
dred and sixty-three dollars and forty-four cents, which
is shown by the Jast annual report of said asylum; now,
therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia,
That the sum of eight thousand one hundred and sixty-
three dollars and forty-four cents, is hereby appropriated
to pay off said indebtedness of the Southwestern lunatic
asylum, mentioned in the foregoing preamble, out of any
money in the treasury of Virginia not otherwise appro-
priated ; and the auditor of public accounts is authorized
and directed to draw his warrant upon the treasurer of
this state for said amount of money, in favor of the
Southwestern lunatic asylum, to be paid over to the
proper officers of that asylum, for the purpose of paying
the indebtedness aforesaid. .
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
