Chap. 243.—An ACT to amend and re-enact section 5 of an act of
the general assembly, approved March 6th, 1890, entitled an act
to incorporate the Woman’s christian association of Richmond.
Approved February 16, 1892.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia,
That section five of an act of the general assembly of Vir-
ginia, approved March sixth, eighteen hundred and nine-
ty, to incorporate the Woman’s christian association of
Richmond, be amended and re-enacted so as to read as
follows:
§ 5. That the said association may acquire property, real
or personal, in any lawful manner,whether by purchase, gift,
devise, or bequest, and it may sell, lease, exchange, or en-
cumber any or all of its property, as it may see fit: pro-
vided that it shall not, at any one time, own property of
any greater value in the aggregate, real and personal, than
two hundred thousand dollars.
2. This act shall be in force from its passagé.
