CHAP. 165. —An ACT to authorize the Monticello soapstone slate
company to keep its principal office in the county of Albemarle
instead of in the city of Charlottesville.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia,
That the charter of the Monticello soapstone slate com-
pany, which was granted by the judge of the corporation
court of Charlottesville on the sixth day of January,
eighteen hundred and ninety, and to which an amend-
ment was granted by said court on the thirteenth day of
November, eighteen hundred and ninety-one, be, and the
said charter is hereby, further amended so as to authorize
the said company, by a vote of its stockholders in general
or special meeting, to establish and keep its principal
office at some place in the county of Albemarle instead
of in the city of Charlottesville, as required by its present
charter. And said company shall be authorized by a vote
of its stockholders, as aforesaid, to keep its principal
office either in said city or in said county at any place which
its stockholders may from time to time select as aforesaid.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
