CHAP. 140.—An ACT to amend and re-enact the second section
of an act approved March 4, 1890, entitled an act to incorporate
the Richlands land company. "
Approved February 2, 1892.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia,
That section second of an act of assembly, approved March
the fourth, eighteen hundred and ninety, entitled an act
to inc6rporate the Richlands land company, be amended
and re-enacted so as to read as follows:
§ 2. The capital stock of the said company shall not be
less than one hundred thousand dollars, and may from
time to time, with the consent of a majority of its stock-
holders, be fixed at and be increased from time to time to
any amount not less than one hundred thousand dollars,
required for its operations, and its shares may be issued,
sold or retired, the par value of which shall not be less
than fifty dollars each, upon such terms and conditions
and under such regulations as the board of directors of
said company shall prescribe; and the directors may
receive labor, supplies and materials, lands, water-rights,
contracts and other property, real and personal, in pay-
ment for capital stock issued or sold, at such valuation or
price at, above, or below par thereof as may be agreed
upon between the directors and subscribers or purchasers.
2. This act shall be in force from ite passage.
