CHAP. 127.—An ACT authorizing the auditor of public accounts
to pay a reward offered by the governor of this state to8. W.
Wax for the arrest of Jack Ramey.
Approved February 2, 1892.
Whereas, on the nineteenth day of December, eighteen
hundred and eighty-nine, his excellency Fitzhugh Lee,
governor of Virginia, offered a reward of two hundred

lollars for the arrest and conviction of Jack Ramey,!
sharged, in the county of Scott, with the murder of H. J.
Woore; and whereas, in the attempt to make said arrest
he said Jack Ramey was killed and there could be no
‘onviction, one of the conditions of said reward, and the
3ame not having been paid; therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia,
That the auditor of public accounts be, and he is hereby,
authorized and instructed to draw his warrant on the
‘reasurer of the commonwealth for the sum of two hun-
ired dollars, payable to S. W. Wax out of any money in!
-he treasury not otherwise appropriated.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
