Chap. 112.—An ACT to amend and re-enact an act entitled an
act to incorporate the Charlottesville and University street rail-
way company.

Approved February 2, 1892.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia,
That section two of the act to incorporate the Charlottes-
ville and University street railway company, approved
March thirteenth, eighteen hundred and eighty-seven, be
amended and re-enacted so as to read as follows:

§ 2. The capital stock of said company shall not be
less than five thousand dollars, nor more than one bun-
dred thousand dollars, divided into shares of fifty dollars
each; and said company shall have power to pledge by
mortgage, deed of trust or otherwise, their corporate prop-
erty and franchises to secure any bonds or notes issued
by them for the construction or maintenance, or exten-
sion of said railway, and the purchase of materials there-
for, and of stock and cars, or other property to be used
by them.

2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
