Chap. 57.—An ACT toamend section 3501 and 3502 of the code of
Virginia of 1887, as to fees of commissioners in chancery.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia,
That sections thirty-five hundred and one and thirty-five
hundred and two of the code of eighteen hundred and
eighty-seven be amended and re-enacted so as to read as
follows:
§3501. Of commissioners in chancery.—For services
which might be perforraed by notaries the like fees for
like services; for any other service, such fees as the court
by which the commissioner is appointed may from time
to time prescribe, not exceeding seventy-five cents where
less than an hour is employed, and if more than an hour
be employed not exceeding the rate of seventy-five cents
for each hour, but nothing herein contained shall effect
the fees of commissioners in chancery residing in the
cities of Richmond, Norfolk, Alexandria and Danville.
§3502. Their fees in certain cities —A commissioner in
chancery residing in the cities of Richmond, Norfolk,
lexandria, or Danville may charge for services which
right be performed by a notary the like fees for like ser-
ices, and for any other services such fees as the court by
hich the commissioner is appointed may from time to
Ime prescribe, not exceeding one dollar where less than
in hour is employed, and if more than an hour be em-
loved not exceeding the rate of one dollar for éach hour.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
