CHAP. 219.—An ACT to authorize the governor to loan arms to
Glade Spring military academy.
Approved March 5, 1890.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia,
That the governor be, and he is hereby, authorized, if not
incompatible with the public welfare, to loan to the prin-
cipal of the Glade Spring military academy fifty rifles or
muskets, such as said governor shall see fit, together with
three commissioned and four non-commissioned officers’
swords, cartridge-boxes, bayonets, and scabbards for the
guns, for the use in military exercises of the pupils of said
school, upon his giving bond with good security for the
proper care of such arms and their return to the state in
good condition when thereto required by the governor.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
