Chap. 881.—An ACT to authorize the supervisors of Norfolk
county to make an allowance to the assessors and assistant as-
sessors for the county of Norfolk from the treasury thereof for
services rendered by them.
Approved February 28, 1890.
1. Be it enactéd by the general assembly of Virginia,
That the board of supervisors of Norfolk county shall cause
to be paid from the treasury of said county, to the asses-
sors and assistant assessors appointed under section four
hundred and thirty-seven of the code of Virginia, edition of
eighteen hundred and eighty-seven, to assess the lands of
said county, such an amount as the judge of the county court
of said county shall certify asa just allowance for the ser-
vices rendered by said assessors and assistant assessors to
the said county: provided, however, that such allowance
shall not be less than the compensation allowed by the
commonwealth for such service.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
