CHAP. 617.—An ACT to prevent the obstruction of the passage of!
fish in Cub creek.

' 1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia.
That no person shall at any time build any dam, com-
monly known as a fish dam, or any other obstruction across
Cub creek, for the purpose of catching fish by trap, net, or
any other means. Any person violating the provisions ot
this section shall, on conviction thereof, be fined twenty-
five dollars, and the court or justice rendering the judg-
ment shall order the sheriff or other officer to break down
the dam or other obstruction, as the case may be, and to
destroy the trap or net; the expense whereof shall be taxed
as a part of the cost of the prosecution.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
