Chap. 567.—An ACT for the protection of fish in Pittsylvania
county.
Approved March 4, 1890.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia.
That it shall be unlawful for any person to take fish from
the streams of Pittsylvania county (except in Dan and
Staunton rivers) for the period of five years next ensuing
after the passage of this act, except by angling with ordi-
nary hook and line.
2. Any person violating the provisions of this act shall,
upon conviction thereof, be fined not less than ten dollars
for each offense, recoverable before a justice of the peace,
one-half to be paid the informer.
3. This act shall be in force from its passage.
