CHAP. 532.—An ACT to change the nameof the Stock Creek coal
and iron company to the Virginia and Carolina land company
and to authorize it to increase its capital stock.
Approved March 4, 1890.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia,
That the name of the Stock Creek coal and iron company
be, and the same is hereby, changed to the Virginia, Ten-
nessee and Carolina land company, and by that name may
enjoy all the rights, powers, and franchises heretofore
granted or acquired.
2. The said company is hereby authorized and empow-
ered to increase its capital stock in the manner provided
in its charter to an amount not exceeding 1 in the aggregate
twenty million dollars.
3. All taxes due or to become due the state of Virginia
by this company shall be paid in lawful money of the
United States and not in coupons.
4. This act shall be in force from its passage.
