CHAP. 521.—Au ACT dedicating to Belmont seminary a lot and
two stores on Bridge street in Bedford City.
Approved March 4, 1890.
Whereas, it is the desire of the trustees and members of
the Presbyterian church at Bedford City, Virginia, to
dedicate to the Belmont seminary, at said place, the lot
and two stores thereon situated on Bridge street in the
said town; now, therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia,
That the said property he, and the same is hereby, dedi-
cated to said seminary, and that James W. Gish, P. L.
Saunders, and John F. Curtis, trustees of said church and
property, and their successors in office and the members of
said church, be, and they are hereby, authorized and em-
powered to dedicate and convey to the trustees of the said
seminary, in fee simple, the property aforesaid, with power
to said trustees of said seminary to sell and convey the
same and apply the proceeds to the use and benefit of said
seminary, under its charter, or to borrow money on the
faith and credit of the same, and to secure the said money
thereon by deed of trust or otherwise, and apply said
money for the like use and benefit of said seminary under
its said charter.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
