CHAP. 52.—An ACT to authorize the board of supervisors of
Madison county to borrow money.

Approved January 15, 1890.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia,
That the board of supervisors of Madison county be, and
they are hereby, authorized to borrow the sum of five
thousand dollars for the purpose of building a jail in said
county, and they are hereby authorized to issue bonds for
the same: provided that the said bonds shal] not bear an
interest of more than six per centum per annum, and shall
not run longer than ten years.

2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
