Chap. 48.—An ACT to amend and re-enact section eight of the
act approved March 3rd, 184, entitled an act to incorporate the
Virginia Western railroad company.

Approved January 14. 1890.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia,
That section eight of an act approved March third,
eighteen hundred and eighty-four, entitled an act to
incorporate the Virginia Western railroad company be,
and the same is hereby, amended and re-enacted so as to
read as follows:

$8. Said company or its successors shall begin the work
of constructing its railroad within five vears from March
third, eighteen hundred and eighty-seven, and shall com-
plete its main line in this state within ten years from said
date.

2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
