Chap. 437.—An ACT to incorporate the Nokesville Distilling
company.
Approved March 3, 1890.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia,
That M. Kiewit, J. P. Manuel, W. W. Kincheloe, Samuel
Hough, John A. Brawner, and L. A. Marsteller, and such
other persons as they may associate with them and their
successors, are hereby made a body politic and corporate
by the name of the Nokesville distilling company, and
shall have all the rights, powers, and franchises necessary
for the purpose of distilling spirituous liquors.
2. Any four of the incorporators hereinbefore named
may organize the said company by electing a president
and board of directors, who may elect and appoint such
officers and make such by-laws as may be necessary fo
the proper management of the said company’s affairs, and
thereupon the said company may exercise all the func-
tions conferred upon chartered companies by the laws of
this state.
3. The capital stock of this company shall not be less
than three thousand dollars nor exceed ten thousand dol-
lars, to be divided into shares of ten dollars each.
4, The said company shall have authority to hold neces-
sary real estate for its legitimate purposes.
5. The directors of said company may open books for the
subscription to the stock of said company as they may
deem expedient, and may receive in payment for said sub-
sciptions of stock any property adapted to the use of the
company.
6. The said company shall pay all debts, dues and de-
mands due the state in lawful money of the United States
and not in coupons.
7. This act shall be in force from its passage.
