Chap. 402.—An ACT to empower the board of supervisors of Buck-
ingham county to declare inoperative in said county a special
law in relation to the working and keeping in repair the public
roads, &c.,‘in said county.
Approved March 3, 1890.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia,
That the board of supervisors of Buckingham county be,
and they are hereby, authorized and empowered by the
vote of a majority of said supervisors, to declare inopera-
tive in said county of Buckingham, any special act or law
in relation to the working and keeping in repair the public
roads and so forth in said county, and from and after the
time when the said special act or law other than the gen-
eral law shall have been so declared inoperative hy said
board, the general law in relation to the working and keep-
ing in order the public roads and so forth of the common-
wealth shall be in force in the said county of Buckingham.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
CuaP. 403.—An ACT toauthorize the trustees of the white Metho-
dist Episcopal church, south, in the county of Tazewell, to sell
same and reinvest proceeds in other church property.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia,
That the trustees, or the survivors of them, of the white
Methodist Episcopal church, south, in the county of Taze-
well, be, and they are hereby, authorized and empowered
to sell and convey the lot of land and the building thereon
belonging to said church, and to reinvest the proceeds aris-
ing from such sale’in other church property, to be held by
the said trustees for the same purpose as the property they
are hereby authorized to sell is now held by them.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
