Chap. 288.—An ACT to allow Peter H. Davis to build a wharf at
his place known as Davis’ wharf, and afso at his place recently
purchased of William 8. Kellam, both on Occohaunock creek.
Approved February 18, 1890.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia,
That Peter H. Davis, of the county of Accomac, be, and
he hereby, is authorized to erect a wharf on his land at his
place known as “ Davis’ Wharf,” on Occohannock creek,
in said county, with a water front of two hundred yards,
extending out to the edge of the channel of said creek;
and that the said Peter H. Davis be and he hereby is also
authorized to erect a wharf on his land that he recently
purchased of William 8. Kellam (formerly belonging to
Southey B. Bull), also on said creek, with a water front of
two hundred feet, extending out to the edge of the chan-
nel of said creek. And the said Peter H. Davis, his heirs
or assigns, shall have the right to charge such compensa-
tion for the use of said wharves as may have been agreed
upon by and between the parties, or as are usual: pro-
vided, that said wharves shall not interfere with naviga-
tion: and provided, also, that this act shall be subject to
amendment, modification, or repeal at the pimaaite of the
general assembly. .
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
