Chap. 205.—An ACT to amend and re-enact section six of an
act approved May 6, 1887, entitled ‘‘an act to incorporate the
Rockbridge company.”’

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia.
That section six of an act entitled “ an act to incorporate
the Rockbridge company,” approved May sixth, eighteen
hundred and eighty-seven, be amended and re-enacted sa
as to read as follows:
$6. It shall be lawful for any corporation or company,
whether foreign or domestic, to subscribe for, acquire, and
hold the shares of the capital stock of the Rockbridge
company, but the board of directors may prescribe the
terms and conditions upon which any such company or
corporation shall purchase from said company or subscribe
for the shares of its capital stock. The acceptance of this
charter and organization thereunder shall be deemed to he
a waiver by said company of any right to pay any taxes,
or dues, or assessments hereafter made from said company
to the state of Virginia in coupons of this state, and shall
be taken as an agreement on the part of said company to
pay all of said dues, taxes, and assessments in lawful
money of the United States.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
