CHAP. 138.—An ACT to enlarge the corporate limits of the town
of New Market, in the county of Shenandoah, Virginia.
Approved January 31, 1290.
1. Be if enacted by the general assembly of Virginia,
That the act approved March twenty-eighth, eighteen hun-
dred and seventy-one, establishing the corporate limits of
New Market, be amended and re-enacted so as to read as
follows: The corporate limit and boundaries of the town
of New Market, in the county of Shenandoah, shall be and
they are hereby established and fixed as follows: Begin-
ning at a stone in the line between the lands of Gideon
Koiner and the heirs of A. Henkel, deceased; thence
south twenty-seven and three-fourths degrees, west two
hundred and fifty-six poles toa point in Strayer’s spring
branch, near an oak tree; thence north sixty-two and one-
fourth, west one hundred and two poles to a stone ne
large rock; thence north twenty-seven and three-fou1
east two hundred and fifty-six poles to a stone; th
south sixty-two and one-half, east forty-eight and
tenths poles to the east edge of the valley turnpike; th
with said road, north twenty-nine and one-fourth, eas
teen and three-tenths poles to the line of Gideon Koi1
land on turnpike; thence with Comer’s line, south fe
six and one-half, east fifty-four poles to the beginning
