CHAP. 118.—An ACT to amend and re-enact an act entitled an
act to authorize the board of supervisors of Page county to issue
bons for the purpose of retiring outstanding bonds, approved
January 16th, 1890.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia,
That section one of an act entitled an act to authorize the
supervisors of Page county to issue bonds for the purpase
of retiring outstanding bonds, approved January sixteenth,
eighteen hundred and ninety, be amended and re-enacted
so as to read as follows, namely: That it shall ‘be lawful for
the board of supervisors of Page county to issue the bonds
of said county, not to exceed eighty-eight thousand dol-
lars, with which to retire the whole, or any part of its out-
standing bonds: said bonds to be issued in denomina-
tions of one hundred, five hundred, and one thousand dol-
lars, to bear any rate of interest at which the same can be
negotiated, not to exceed the rate of five per centum per
annum, for which interest coupons may be issued, payable
annually, said bonds torun for twenty years from the date
of their issue, redeemable at the pleasure of said county
after ten years from the date of their issue, and said bonds
and coupons to be signed by the president and attested by
the clerk of the board of supervisors of said county of
Page under the seal of said county.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
