Chap. 82.—-An ACT to authorize the trustees of Tazewell high school
to exchange any property held by them for other property more
suitable for school purposes.
Approved April 28, 1887
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
section two of an act entitled an act to establish a high school
in the town of Jeffersonville, and so forth, approved April
two, eighteen hundred and seventy-three, be amended and
re-enacted so as to read as follows:
2. G. H. Reed, J. IE. Chapman, J. Stros, N. P. Brown, J.
P. Kelly, A. J. May, and W. W. Perry and their successors
are hereby constituted and made a body politic and corporate
by the name of the trustees of the Tazewell high school, by
which name they shall bave perpetual succession, may sue
and be sued, contract and be contracted with, and have and
use a commoh seal, with power to purchase, receive, and hold
lands, tenements, money, goods, and chattels to an amount
not exceeding twenty thousand dollars, and said trustees and
their successors shall have power to exchanve any property
now or hereafter held by them for property which they may
deem more suitable for school purposes, and may complete
such exchange by duly executing and delivering a conveyance
as such trustees.
3. This act shall be in force from its passage.
