Chap. 79.—An ACT to authorize the qualified voters of Omega precinct,
in the county of Halifax, to vote on the question of a fence law
Within certain boundaries in the Red Bank magisterial district.
Approved April 28, 1887. .
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
at the next general Glection to be held in the county of Hal-
ifax, the question of fenee or no fence law shall be submitted
to the qualified voters of said county residing on the north
side of Hyco river, and entitled to vote at Qmega precinct
in the mavisterial district of Red Bank.
2. That the north branch of Hyco river in the district of Red
Bank, shall be the dividing line in the said district as to the
application of the law a idopted at the general election as pro-
vided, and that the expenses of said election shall be provided
tor by the board of supervisors of ITalifax county, by levy
upon the property of the persons residing and voting, as pro-
vided in the precedime section.
3. That as soon as the result of such election is certified
to the judge of the county court of Halifax county, he shall
make an order stating said result, which said order and result
xhall be posted at the door of the county courthouse by the
clerk of the said court, and in such places in the magisterial
district of Red Bank as said judge may prescribe. |
4. This act shall be in force from its passage. .
