Chap. 432.—JOINT RESOLUTION authorizing the board of indem-
nity to employ counsel to assist the attorney-general in litigation
growing out of the public debt.

Approved May 24, 1887.

Resolved (the House of Delegates concurring), That the
board created by the act approved February twenty-fourth,
eighteen bundred and eighty-six, consisting of the attorney-
general, secretury of the commonwealth, auditor of public
accounts, second auditor, and treasurer, be authorized to
employ one or more persons as counsel to assist the attorney-
general in defending the interests of the commonwealth in
all litigation growing out of the public debt, subject to their
instructions: provided that the aggregate amount of fees
paid said persons shall not exceed the sum of three thousand
dollars in any one year.
