Chap. 398.—An ACT for the relief of G. O. Sledge, of Southampton
county.
Approved May 23, 1887.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
all taxes for the years eighteen hundred and eighty and
eighteen hundred and eighty-one, on the three tracts or
parcels of land belonging to G. O. Sledge, of Southampton
county, and containing respectively three hundred and ten
acres, one hundred and twenty-six acres and twenty-two
acres, be and the same are hereby released, State, county, and
school taxes for each of said years having been paid by said
G. O. Sledge, upon said bonds in the name of the estate of
Starling Sledge, but nothing in this act shall be construed as
releasing the lands of Ophelia Sledge and Mollie I. Sledge
from said taxes or any part thereof.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
