Chap. 396.—An ACT in relation to the fraudulent conversions of prop-
erty held under a trust deed.
Approved May 23, 1887.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
wherever any grantor in a deed of trust on personal property
to secure a debt, shall, before the payment of said debt, or
without the written consent of the beneficiary in said trust
deed mentioned, fraudulently sell or otherwise dispose of the
property or any portion thereof, by the deed of trust con-
veyed, and convert the proceeds thereof to his own use, said
grantor shall be deemed guilty of the larceny of.the property
go disposed of.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
