Chap. 380.—An ACT authorizing the auditor of public accounts to pay
commutation to the wife of Henry Diggs, (a lunatic) provided for
by an act entitled an act to give aid to the citizens of Virginia
wounded, &c., during the late war while serving as soldiers, approved
February 25, 1884.

Whereas the connty court of Orange, on February twenty-
eight, eighteen hundred and eighty-seven, approved an ap-
plication for commutation made on behalf of Henry Diggs,
of Orange county, State of Virginia, a soldier wounded during
the late war, who is now under the care of superintendent
Western lunatic asylum, he having become insane from at-
tacks of epilepsy caused by said wound; therefore,
1. Beit enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the auditor of public accounts be and he is hereby authorized
to pay the commutation provided for wounded and disabled
soldiers by the act approved February twenty-five, eighteen
hundred and eighty-four, to the wife of said Henry Diggs,
out of any money which has been or may be hereafter ap-
propriated by the general assembly to pay claims under said
act.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
