Chap. 362.—An ACT to authorize and empower the school trustees of
the Stonewall district in the county of Highland, to sell certain
school property therein.
Approved May 21, 1887.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
John M. Jones, Junior, B. Hiner Hansel and Louis M.
McClung, school trustees of Stonewall district in the county
of Highland, be and they are hereby authorized and em-
powered to sell and convey the lot of land condemned accord-
ing to law for public free school purposes, and the public free
schoolhouse built thereon lying one-half mile west of McDow-
ell in Highland county, Virenia and known as the Eagle
lot, and bounded as follows: Beginning at a stone marked A,
near the turnpike; thence north four deurees, west ten poles
to a stone marked B; thence east four degre ees, south twelve
poles to a stone marked C; thence south “four degrecs, west
twelve poles to a stone marked D: thence west four degrees,
north twelve poles to the beginning; containing one hundred
and twenty poles. The proceeds of the sale of said property
shall be turned over to the district school fund for the benefit
of said Stonewall school district in said county of Highland.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
