Chap. 319.—An ACT to grant Henry C. Clark, his heirs or assigns, the
privilege of mining in the bed of New river.
Approved May 20, 1887.
1. Bo it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
Henry C. Clark, his heirs or assigns, shall have the sole right
and privilege of mining in the bed of New river, from the
upper corner of the said Henry C. Clark’s land to the lower
corner of the same to the middle of said river: provided
however that such mining shall not interfere with the rights
or operate to the injury of other land owners or the naviga-
tion of said river: and provided further, that it shall not in-
terfere with the fish law relating to the same.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
