Chap. 3.—An ACT to declare certain stock issued by the Richmond
and West Point Terminal Railway and Warehouse Company to be
legal and valid.
Approved March 23, 1887.
Whereas the second section of an act of the general assem-
bly of Virginia, approved twenty-first February, eighteen
hundred and eighty-two, amending the charter of the Rich-
mond and West Point Terminal Railway and Warehouse
company, provides that the capital stock may be increased
from time to time to such amount and issued at such price as
the board of directors may determine; and whereas, since the
passage of the said act, the board of directors of said com-
pany have at various times issued, or caused to be issued,
large amounts of capital stock, acvregating forty million dol-
lars, of which thirty-five million dollars was common and five
million dollars preferred stock, and some question having been
raised as to the legality of the issue of the forty million dol-
lars of stock, common and preferred, as above recited; now
therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, oat
the forty million dollars of stock, common and preferred, i
sued us aloresaid by the Richmond and West Point Terminal
Railway and Warehouse company is hereby declared to be
legal and valid.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
