Chap. 264.—An ACT to authorize D.S. Jones to ercet a pier in James
river opposite the Blow estate in James City county, Virginia, just
above Mulberry island.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
D.S. Jones, of the county of Warwick, be and he is hereby
authorized to erect a pier in James river opposite the Blow
estate in James City county, just above Mulberry island, for
the purpose of shipping lumber and wood, the same to be
subject to the laws of Virginia in relation to piers; that said
D. S. Jones, his heirs or assigos, shall bave the right to charge
such compensation to others who m: iv wish to use said pier
as may hereafter be agreed to between the owner of said
pier and the shipper, or as are customary: and provided also
said pier shall not interfere with the navigation of said river,
and this act shall at all times be subject to amendment or re-
peal at the pleasure of the general assembly.
