Chap. 214.—An ACT to amend and re-enact an act entitled an act to
amend and re-enact section 3 of chapter 157 of the Code of 1873,
as to what number of judges may hold a court, &c., approved Feb-
ruary 26, 1884.
Approved May 14, 1887.
1. Be it enacted by the gencral assembly of Virginia, That
section three of chapter one hundred and fifty-seven of the
Code of eighteen hundred and seventy-three, as amended by
an act approved February twenty-six, eighteen hundred and
eighty-four, Acts eighteen hundred and eisrhty- -three and four,
chapter one hundred and nincty-threo, be amended an r¢-
enacted so as to read as follows:
§ 3. The supreme and every special court of appeals may
be held by any three or more of the judges of such court.
Any such court or any other court may at any term, whether
recular or special, adjourn from day to day, until the business
betore it is dispatched, or until the end of its term. The
judge of the circuit court for the city of Richmond and the
county of Henrico, and the judge of the circuit court of the
city of Petersburg, and the judge of the circuit court of
Lynchburg, shall be and they are hereby authorized to ad-
journ the said courts during the terms thercof,-for a period
not exceeding thirty days.
2. This act shall be in force from its passago.
