Chap. 188.—An ACT to allow Solomon T. Johnson, of Accomack
county, to erect an oyster-fattening box and wharf on his shore in
said county.
Approved May 12, 1887.
1. Be it enacted by the gencral assembly of Virginia, That
Solomon T. Jobnson, of the county of Accomack, be and be
is hereby authorized to erect an oyster-fattening box and
wharf in front of his shore in said county, on Swan’s Cut
creck, for shipping of oysters, extending twenty-five feet from.
low water mark into said creck, and fitty fect in width.
2. Be it further enacted, That the said Solomon T. Jobn-
son, be and be is hereby authorized to use and to hold for his
own separate usc, the mud flat cove in front of his shore for
throwing out shells and making a road, and opening an out-
let from his shore to the shore on the opposite side of the
mud flat, a distance ot one hundred and forty feet. He is to
use so much of the flat as was embraced in his land survey,
and not to go any nearer the creek than the present shell
reef which has been made. The above privileges shall not
interfere with navigation, and shall at all times be under the
control of the general assembly.
3. This act sball be in force from its passage.
