Chap. 134.—An ACT to amend and re-enact the second section of an
act entitled an act to incorporate the Stock Creek coal and iron com-
pany, approved March 9, 1&s4.
Approved May 5, 1887.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the second section of an act entitled an act to incor porate the
Stock Creek coal and iron company, approved March nine-
teenth, eighteen hundred and cighty-four, be amended and
re-cnac ted so us to read as follows:
§2. The capital stock of said company shall not be less
‘han five hundred thousand dollars, and it shall be divided
into shares of one hundred dollars each. The capital stock
may be increased from time to time at any regular meeting
of’ stockholders, or at any mecting called for that purpose, (0
such amounts as may be deemed necessary to carry out the
purposes of said company. by the issue and sale of shares,
under such regulations as the board of directors may pre-
scribe; and the name of said company may be changed by a
vote of the majority of stockholders at any legal meeting
thereof: provided that a certitied copy of the resolution, set-
ting forth the new name of said company, shall be filed in
the office of the secretary of the commonwealth within ninety
days from the adoption thereof. The directors may reccive
real and personal property, in payment for subscriptions to
the capital stock, at such vaiuation as may be agreed upon
between the directors and the subscribers.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
