Chap. 108.—An ACT for the relief of the land owners of Mathews
county to have their lands relieved from delinquent taxes and
county levies.
Approved May 2, 1887,
Whereas the acts of the general assembly of Virginia were
not promulgated in the county of Mathews in time to give
the land owners of said county the relief contained in “the
act in relation to the sale and redemption of delinquent lands,
1. Beit enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the county court of Mathews is hereby authorized and em-
powered to give to the land owners of Mathews county the
relicf as set torth in the acts of assembly, eighteen hundred
and eighty-five and eighteen hundred and eighty-six, chapter
eighty-seven, entitled an act to amend sections four, seven,
and thirtcen of an act approved March nineteenth, eighteen
hundred and cighty-four, entitled an act to provide tor the
sale of lands delinquent tor taxes and county levies, and to
repeal section sixteen of said act, approved February eighth,
eighteen hundred and cighty-six.
2. This act shall be operative in Mathews county until
August the fifteenth, eighteen hundred and eighty-seven.
3. This act shall be in force from its passave.
