Chap. 102.--An ACT to empower the board of directors of the Central
lunatic asvlum of Virgima, to lease the quarries upon the land be-
longing to said asylum, and to authorize the operation of said quar-
ries.

Approved May 2. 1887,

Whereas there are valuable granite quarries upon the tract
of land belonging to the Central lunatic ¢ asVilum of Virginia,
in the county of Dinwiddie. and the proper utilization of the
same will promote the interests of said asylum; theretore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the board of directors of said asylum by and with the approval
of the governor, shall have and is hereby given authority to
granta party or parties a lease or leases of the granite quarries
upon said tract of land of said asylum, with suflicient land for
the proper working of said quarries, for such term of years,
and subject to such terms and conditions as said board may
deem necessary tor the due protection of the interests of the
said asylum and of the commonwealth.

2. This act shal! be in force from its passage, and all acts
or parts of acts in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
