Chap. 468.—An ACT to relieve Andrew Rodgers from the payment of
a license tax for peddling in the county of Pulaski.
Approved March 5, 1888.
Whereas it is represented by a number of good citizens of
Pulaski county that Andrew Rodgers, of that county, is a
blind_man and without means of support for himself, except
Google
by his own efforts, which support, it appears, he can best gain
by vending books, merchandise, and so forth, if he can be re-
lieved from the payment of the heavy license tax required by
law, and this being considered a reasonable exemption in suc
a case, therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
Andrew Rodgers, of Pulaski county, be and he is hereby ex-
empted from the payment of the license tax imposed by law
for the privilege of peddling articles of merchandise, books,
and so forth, in the said county of Pulaski.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
