Chap. 450.—An ACT to give the right of appeal in cattle guard cases.
Approved March 5, 1888.
1. Beit enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
in all suits brought before a justice of the peace against rail-
road companies to recover penalties for failure to construct
cattle guards as required by law, either party shall have the
right of appeal to the county court of the county where such
suit is brought, from the judgment of the justice, without re-
gard to the amount in controversy.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
