Chap. 423.—-An ACT for the gd of Jacob Fisher and Robert E.
tuart.

Whereas, at the March term, eighteen hundred and eighty-
six, of the county court of Highland county, Jacob Fisher
was convicted on an indictment charging him with having
carried concealed weapons, and was fined twenty dollars, and
the costs of presecution amounted to thirty-six dollars and

fifty-three cents; and whereas, thereafter, in July, eighteen
hundred and eighty-six, the said Fisher was so burned as to
make him a physical wreck, as appears by the certificate of
his attending physician; and whereas the said fine and costs
have been paid by Robert E. Stuart, who became bound as
surety for said Fisher in a forthcoming bond; now therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the said Fisher be and is hereby released from said fine and
costs, and that the amount thereof paid by the said Robert
KE. Stuart be refunded to him by the auditor of public ac-
counts, if the same has been paid into the treasury; and if it
has not been so paid, then by the proper officer of said county
of Highland, on the order of the county court thereof.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
