Chap. 369.—An ACT to authorize conveyances by the county of
Frederick and the city of Winchester to each other of certain rights
in the public square situated in Winchester.
Approved March 2, 1888. __
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
it shall be lawful for the county of Frederick and the city of
Winchester to convey the one to the other any such rights
as either may have in any portion of the lots in the city of
Winchester known as the public square.
2. Any deed or deeds executed by the president of the
board of supervisors of said county in pursuance of an ordi-
nance of said board, shall be valid to convey to the said city
any right, title, claim, or interest of said county in said prop-
erty as may be set forth and described in said deed or deeds,
and in said ordinance. And any deed or deeds executed by
the mayor of the said city in pursuance of an ordinance of
the council of said city, shall be valid to convey to the said
county any right, title, claim, or interest of said city in said
property as may be set forth and described in said deed or
deeds, and in said ordinance.
3. Any such deeds shall be recorded both in the clerk’s
office of the said county and of the said city.
4. This act shall be in force from its passage.
