Chap. 358.—An ACT to prescribe what judges may practice la’
Approved March 2, 1888.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, 1
no one holding the office of judge in this state shall prac
law therein during his continuance in office, except th:
shall be lawful for a judge of a corporation. or husting c
whose salary does not exceed sixteen hundred dollars, a
judge of a county court, if a licensed lawyer, to appear a
torney-at-law in any case not pending in their respec
courts, or which cannot be carried into the same, or has
been taken therefrom by appeal or otherwise.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
