Chap. 351.—An ACT to authorize the clerks of circuit courts to take
acknowledgments to deeds and other writings, and to certify the
same.

Approved March 2, 1888.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the clerk of any circuit court of this commonwealth, be and
he is hereby authorized to take into his office acknowledg-
ments to deeds and other writings, and to certify the same
for recordation in accordance with scction two thousand five
hundred and one of Code of eighteen hundred and eighty-
seven.

2. All acts or parts of acts inconsistent herewith are
hereby repealed.

3. This act shall be in force from its passage.
