Chap. 327.—An ACT directing the secretary of the commonwealth tc
affix the seal of the state to a certain deferred debt certificate.

Whereas, there is a certain certificate of indebtedness is
sued by the state of Virginia under the act approved March
thirtieth, eighteen hundred and seventy-one, entitled an act
to provide for the funding and payment of the public debt
duly signed, executed, and delivered by the proper officers.
without having the impression of the seal of the common
wealth thereto affixed, the genuineness of which certificate
is not questioned ; therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the secretary of the commonwealth be and he is hereby in
structed and directed, if satisfied of the genuineness of the
certificate, to affix the seal of the commonwealth to certifi-
cate number two hundred and forty, dated July first, eigh
teen hundred and seventy-one, for one thousand six hundred
and ninety-three dollars and thirty-four cents, issued by
the state of Virginia under an act approved March thirty
eighteen hundred and seventy-one, entitled an act to provid
for the funding and payment of the public debt, which cer
tificate is now held by C. Adolphe Low, as executor of hi
father, Daniel Low.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
