Chap. 277.—An ACT to provide a new registration of voters in the
town of North Danville, Pittsylvania county.
Approved February 29, 1888.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the registrar in the town of North Danville, Pittsylvania
county, be authorized and directed to make a new registra-
tion of the qualified voters residing within the corporate
limits of said town, and for the purpose shall sit for a period
of five days, beginning on Tuesday, the first day of May,
eighteen hundred and eighty-eight, and said registrar shall
give notice for at least ten days by printed hand-bills posted
in five or more conspicuous places in said town.
2. Said registration shall supersede the present registra-
tion of voters in said town, and the registrar is directed to
destroy the registration books now in use in said town.
3. The secretary of the commonwealth. shall furnish the
clerk of the hustings court of Danville with suitable books to
carry out the provisions of this act.
4. This act shall be in force from its passage.
