Chap. 217.—An ACT extending the time to James M. Booth, treasurer
of Northumberland county, for the collection of certain taxes and
evies.

Whereas James M. Booth, treasurer of Northumberland
county, has in his hands various tickets for taxes and levies,
both state and county, for the years eighteen hundred and
eighty-four and eighteen hundred and eighty-five, and said
tickets remain uncollected, and for which he has accounted
and settled for in his settlement with the state and county;
therefore, :
1. Beit enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
authority is hereby given suid James M. Booth, treasurer as
aforesaid, to collect the amount due upon said tickets for
taxes and levies, and he shall have the power of levy and
distress for the same that treasurers now posses under the
revenue laws, and that the power be extended for the period
of one year from the passage of this act.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
