Chap. 208.—An ACT to authorize Theodore Haughwont to erect a
pier-head on his oyster ground on James river.
Approved February 24, 1888.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
Theodore Haughwont be and he is hereby authorized to erect
a pier-head on James river, in Isle of Wight county, on the
outside of Candia island, and just below the shoal known as
the Goose House shoal, to enable him to place a watch-
house thereon on his oyster ground, and be subject to all the
laws of Virginia governing the erection of wharves: and pro-
vided also, that said pier-head shall not interfere with the
navigation of said river; and that this act shall at all times
be subject to amendment or repeal at the pleasure of the
general assembly.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
